SYSTEM NOTE / 02

Does your heating
feel out of balance?

Black magnetite sludge and corrosion debris can build up inside pipework and radiators. That can restrict circulation, create cold spots, cause pinhole leaks and make your boiler work harder. We start with the system, not a sales script.

OUR DIFFERENCE / 03

Protect your
new boiler investment.

Sludge from old pipework can put a new boiler installation under strain. We check the system water and explain the sensible steps for protecting your heating investment. If your system needs balancing, a component repair or no flush at all, that is exactly what we will tell you. All heating work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers.

WHY IT MATTERS / FIELD NOTE

Why flushing is
essential protection.

A clean, treated heating system is not just about warmer radiators. It helps protect the investment you have already made — and the new boiler or parts you may be fitting next.

01

Warranty protection

Manufacturers such as Worcester Bosch make system cleanliness part of their installation guidance. Leaving contaminated pipework untreated can put the protection of a new boiler guarantee at risk.

02

Protecting new parts

Modern boilers contain sensitive components, including aluminium heat exchangers. Old sludge and black magnetite can restrict flow, encourage corrosion and shorten the life of those parts.

03

Recognised industry practice

BS 7593:2019 sets out recognised guidance for cleaning and protecting domestic wet central-heating systems, including the checks and treatment expected when fitting a new boiler.

HOW WE DIAGNOSE / 04

The right fix starts with
the right diagnosis.

We do not use sales scripts or push unneeded work. When you call us out, we test water quality, check pump performance and assess individual components to find out what is actually causing your heating issues.

Sludge & corrosion can restrict circulation and leave radiators heating unevenly.
System condition matters. Cleaning is only useful when it is the right intervention.

01

Initial assessment

We listen to the symptoms, inspect the system and check what else could be causing the problem.

Where suitable, we connect the flushing equipment and work methodically through the heating system.

CLEAR ANSWERS / 08

Frequently asked
questions.

Helpful answers before you decide whether your heating system needs cleaning.

How do I know if my system needs a power flush?

Not every heating issue needs a flush. We test the system water and assess the components first. If balancing or a small repair is the better answer, that is what we will recommend.

How long does a power flush take?

For an average domestic home with around 8–10 radiators, a thorough power flush commonly takes between five and eight hours, depending on the condition of the system.

Are your engineers certified?

Yes. Heating work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers, with the appropriate accreditation for the work being undertaken.
